About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Customer Support Specialist to serve as a key point of contact for customers, dealers, and field sales personnel. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers find solutions, building strong relationships, and working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This is not a traditional sales role. The primary focus is providing exceptional customer support, application guidance, order management, and product recommendations for forklift and material handling attachments.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer, dealer, and field sales inquiries via phone and email
- Assist customers in identifying the best attachment or product solution based on their application and operational needs
- Provide product information, recommendations, and quotations
- Process customer orders and verify order accuracy
- Coordinate with manufacturing and internal departments to support delivery timelines and customer expectations
- Communicate order status, shipment updates, and delivery information
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns related to products, orders, or attachments
- Support Territory Managers and customers throughout the sales cycle
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service, customer support, inside sales, sales support, or related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong relationship-building skills with customers and business partners
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly preferred:
- Material handling
- Forklift dealerships
- Industrial manufacturing
- Equipment distribution
- Heavy equipment
- Industrial products
- Parts or service support
Additional preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with forklifts, lift truck systems, or material handling equipment
- Experience supporting customers in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Spanish fluency is a plus
